Third Parties

Amazon Alexa

To improve our guest experience and offer voice controlled smart room features, each bedroom contains an Amazon Echo Dot.  The device is constantly listening for the trigger phrase “Alexa” at which point the blue ring lights up and what you then say is recorded by Amazon in order to answer your question.   As soon as the blue ring turns off, recording stops.  Voice recordings are stored for up to 3 months by Amazon and may be used by them and/or us to improve services.  Guests can delete voice recordings during their stay by following the instructions in the room or may request deletion after their stay by contacting us in writing.  If you prefer that the device is not listening (and therefore recording requests), simply press the “Mute” button on the Echo Dot (the ring will turn red) or unplug the cable from the device.

Third Party Bookings

If you book a room via a third party website, they will have their own Privacy Policy and will need to pass certain information relevant to the booking such as contact details, address and credit card details onto us to process the booking.  Please note, in some circumstances where they hide your email address from us, we have no choice but use their own systems to contact you via.  You should be aware that this means they record all details of our conversation between each other.

Credit Card Details

If you make a reservation with us via our website, you will be asked to enter your credit/debit card details to confirm your booking. This takes place on a secure server hosted by our partner The Booking Button  who are PCI DSS Compliant, where your card details are safely encrypted and stored for a maximum of 7 days after your booking takes place. The card details may be accessed by us via a secure encrypted link for use in the event of cancellation/no show. We also charge a deposit or may pre-authorise the card provided to confirm its validity and availability of funds. However, no further charges will be made to your card without your prior notification (unless specified in our Terms & Conditions, e.g. an advance purchase rate).  We do not store your credit card details locally.
