This week marked two years since we opened as The 25 Boutique B&B.
We've come a long way in two short years and so we decided to mark the occasion with a champagne and canapé reception in what is normally our breakfast room.
Held on Monday, the event was also used to launch our new video which is now live on the home page of our website or can be viewed here:
We invited heads of local tourism bodies, including the council, various media, owners of some of the restaurants and attractions we send our guests to and also the creators of our fab new video - Ben & Will from Pulse Studios.
Julian and I were obviously busy hosting and chatting so we drafted in Pierpoint, a local restaurant on the seafront to man reception, make some delicious canapés for us using locally sourced ingredients and serve the champagne.
Everyone had a great evening and it's always good to forge links with other local businesses. It was useful for them to be able to see the amazing standard of accommodation we offer first hand.
I made a short speech, and Carolyn Custerson, the Chief Exec of our local tourism body which markets the English Riviera also said a few words.
Glenross Guesthouse, as it was when we moved in was four star and had ten bedrooms. We reduced the number of bedrooms but increased the number of stars. The place is unrecognisable to what it was then.
We continue to build on our success and we have two more award ceremonies to attend in the next six weeks so we'll let you know how we get on.
